This blog/website has been up and down, mostly down, over the past 3 years. I have been re-designing the website and trying new WordPress themes. The struggle is behind me. My web-building skills are out of date, but I know the right person who was able to resolve the issues I couldn’t handle.

Happy day! Bible Quilts is up again!
I don’t remember exactly when this blog went down, but it was probably about two years ago. It’s been a concern but too far over my head to resolve. Today it was resolved thanks to help through Hostgator technicians. Happy day!

Baby Jesus . . . Messiah! with coloring pages
Just in time for Christmas! Baby Jesus . . . Messiah! Color your own pictures is available for purchase. This is a re-write of The First Christmas and is a coloring book to be colored and kept in you favorite picture book library. These pictures are also suitable for making crayon-colored quilts. The download link is found in the book which can be printed out for coloring or tracing onto your fabric.
Diane Rose – Blind quilter
Diane Rose is a gifted quilter who quilts by feel. Diane Rose is blind. These should be encouraging words for anyone who ever thought they might like to try to make a quilt. If a person who is totally blind can make a quilt, then we can overcome the perceived obstacles that prevent us from trying.
Diane has a friend who helps her chose the fabrics, but Diane is fully involved in designing and sewing the quilts she has never seen. Her quilts can be seen on her website The Amazing Quilter.
Click here for a recording of a TV interview of Diane that is very enlightening.
Embroidered Bible quilts (or crayon-colored quilts)
I have found two examples of embroidered Bible quilts, one still a work in progress, that were made using “Aunt Martha’s New Testament Designs” and/or “Aunt Martha’s Old Testament Designs.” Look for these on Etsy or eBay. The directions are in the package. These pictures could also be used to create crayon-colored quilts.
I’ve been unable to get in touch with the person who created the quilt in the following link, but as far as I know it is legitimate to share a link. Take a peek here. The other quilt pictures I found are to an unfinished quilt. I hope to be able to post the completed quilt sometime in the future.
